Hello, I am staining a new cedar deck for the first time and considering Mountain XT. I have two dogs that lay on the deck all summer and do not want them to be subject to the chemicals in typical stains. What do you recommend?

For cedar decks I would:
1. Lime Clean
2. Sand 50 grit
3. Mountain XT
The color will have a big affect on UV blocking and thus greying resistance.
Some people want cedar to be clear and not stained. The Clear 00 System is used for that. Mountain is made from natural cashews and oranges. It has a natural resistance to mold and UV radiation. It is a sustainable wood finish with high performance.
I would try a sample pint and test an area.
